Cost Comparison Analysis
(versus
Corrugated Boxes)
Our
Low, Medium and High-Speed Shrink Wrapping Systems are designed for
the start-up to medium sized operators in the beverage and food industry
wanting to reduce overall packaging costs. Shrink wrap is the packaging
material of choice for a variety of reasons.
These
systems are designed for years of reliable, trouble-free service &
are capable of operating multiple shifts. The systems are tremendously
versatile and are able to package a wide variety of products while requiring
a minimum of operator expertise. The state-of-the-art design and heavy
duty components ensure maximum performance and economy.

>
The Shrink Wrap Process
Step
1.
In
the Automatic Version (ASP), the individual items (e.g., bottles, cans,
cartons, jars, etc.) are collated into their respective formats (either
4 bottles x 6 bottles(1/2 liter) or in other packaging configurations
such as the 3 x 4, 1-liter arrangement illustrated below).
In
the Manual Version (MSP), items are collated by hand into their respective
configurations. In either case, the resulting collated multi-pack is
then ready to be wrapped unsupported, pad-supported or tray-supported.

Step
2:
The
collated product is then moved either manually or automatically onto
the Automatic Conveyor System which passes the product into the "curtain"
of Shrink-Wrap Material. An especially unique "Heat Seal Bar"
seals the ends of the poly material to form an envelope around the package
as shown in the two illustrations below.

Step
3:
At
this point, the product is loosely surrounded in shrink film. The method
of film advancement on the system maximizes the number of packages able
to be wrapped from the roll of film.
Step
4:
The
wrapped bundles then pass through a heated shrink tunnel, causing the
film to shrink tightly and neatly around the package. The system uses
recirculated hot air for maximum efficiency while ensuring the product
is securely wrapped.

Step
5:
As
the shrink wrapped product exits the shrink tunnel it is fan cooled
to achieve a tight, secure jacket as a final step in the packaging process.

All
processes on the ShrinkWrap system are controlled by a programmable
CPU shown below.
