DP
Series Bottled Water UV/Ozone Systems
are turnkey packages designed for bottling rates
from 10 to 60 Gallons/Minute(see specs and pricing below).
The
disinfection equipment is usually located in water treatment and processing
systems as illustrated below.
The
equipment can be integrated on skids with appropriate water treatment
equipment employing softening, distillation, reverse osmosis, controls,
etc. as shown below.

Air
cooled corona discharge ozone generators are used on all systems. This
technology allows the production of high concentrations of ozone with
little heat generated eliminating the need for water to cool the ozone
generation tubes.
This
technology in conjunction with the injection of ozone through a high
efficiency mazzei injector eliminates the need for extremely expensive,
high energy usage, water cooled corona discharge ozone generators and
large atmospheric contact chambers.
This
provides a system that is reliable, cost effective and easy to operate
and maintain. All DP SERIES Systems will provide ozone residuals in
the bottled water product of 0.1-0.4 mg/1.
The
DP SERIES systems are complete turnkey, frame-mounted packages. The
system is designed to first pump water from the storage tank through
a carbon (GAC) filter for final taste and odor filtration.
The
water is then pumped through an Ultraviolet Disintection Unit for primary
disinfection and then through a 1 micron post-filter for final particulate
removal prior to ozonation.
The
water is then pumped through the mazzei venturi which injects ozone
into the water. The ozonated water enters the Stainless Steel Contact
Tank which is designed to allow 3 to 4 minutes contact time for effective
mixing and "mass transfer" of ozone to the water prior to
entering the (bottling system) filler or storage tank. This contact
time allows the ozone residual to attain the 0.1-0.4 mg/1 level required
for bottled water plants.
When
water is not required at the bottling or water store fillers, a pressure
relief valve will open transferring the ozonated water back to the storage
tank helping maintain the storage tank in a more sanitary condition.
