The B600 Preheater design is critical to the production of high quality bottles. The preforms require consistent and properly controlled heat to maximize bottle production and minimize waste. Too much, too little or inconsistent heat will reduce or even prevent the production of acceptable quality bottles. The BM600 Preheater has been uniquely designed to heat the preforms consistently on a continuous basis.
(1) All Frame and Skin Members are fabricated in Lincoln, Nebraska, U.S.A., and are constructed of polished type 304 stainless steel for an attractive appearance and long life.
(2) Reliable Nickel-Chromium resistive heating elements incorporate advanced front and back mounting shrouds. Unlike glass tube heating elements, Nickel-Chromium elements are less likely to break or crack during shipment and are not subject to shattering during power surges and brown outs.
(3) Heating Element Surface Temperatures are closely and reliably controlled by Thermocouples and microprocessor based Heating Element Controllers that use highly visible Light Emitting Diode (LED) displays. These Controllers are state of the art and are the most advanced for monitoring heating element surface temperatures. Temperatures are kept consistent to ensure even heat transfer throughout the length of the Preform thus assuring the highest quality and most consistent bottle production possible.
(4) The Variable Speed Track makes heating of a wide variety of Preform sizes consistent and dependable. The ultimate quality of the bottles produced relies heavily on the Preheater. Without exact and consistent heat control, temperatures vary too much for favorable results. Other models can have as much a 10% to 12% heat variance during one operating cycle. This translates into average temperatures that may vary considerably between each Preform. When this occurs, the bottle reject rate can be extremely high. A Stainless Steel Track is utilized for a long, durable and trouble-free life and is extremely heat and even rust resistant. The track is also self aligning and seldom, if ever, requires adjustment.
(5) The Electrical System incorporates enhanced solid state circuitry protection. Power surges, transients and spikes can cause serious problems with the successful operation of the system. To minimize the negative effects, added protection is used to compensate for these situations.
(6) Preform Holders and Mounting Plates are made of a heat resistant material to sustain higher temperatures which reduce maintenance requirements as well as repair costs.
